Data Center Genset Support &
On-Chip Coolant Testing

Data Center Industry Needs

A data center depends on two systems that only get noticed when they fail: the standby gensets that carry the load when utility power drops and, in a growing share of new builds, the on-chip coolant that keeps the processors from overheating. Industrial Inspection Company supports both from Monroe, Michigan. We inspect and clean the large diesel engine components that go into those gensets, and our cleanliness testing laboratory counts and identifies the particles in propylene glycol coolant.

Genset Support

We have inspected and cleaned components for the large diesel engines used in standby generator sets for more than two decades, from single parts to completed assemblies.

On-Chip Coolant Testing

On-chip cooling, also called direct-to-chip, pushes propylene glycol coolant (PG25) through very small channels, so meeting a cleanliness spec is imperative. Our lab tests coolant samples for particle contamination to help you meet your cleanliness spec.

What Each Coolant Test Covers

  • 500 mL fluid sample
  • Membrane filtration
  • Automated microscope particle counting
  • Counts by size, reported per mL
  • Metallic and non-metallic particles
  • SEM-EDS analysis on request
