OEMsupplier (Industrial Inspection Company) is a U.S.-based provider of certified inspection, testing, assembly, machining, and precision cleaning services, operating since 1996 and focused on OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and industrial manufacturers.
The company supports automotive, defense, heavy truck, power generation, oil and gas, and broader industrial equipment sectors, helping OEMs and Tier suppliers maintain quality and uptime.
Industrial Inspection Company operates from a 130,000-square-foot campus in the Metro Detroit, Michigan / Toledo, Ohio region and supports manufacturers across the United States with both in-house and on-site services. In addition, we have a service team headquartered in Aiken, SC.
The organization operates under an ISO 9001:2015 certificate and ourISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited testing laboratory offers technical cleanliness testing compliant with ISO 16232 and VDA 19. Our nondestructive (NDT) certificates include those for ASNT Magnetic Particle Testing – MT BENCH LEVEL 2, MT YOKE LEVEL 2, ASNT Liquid Penetrant Testing – PT NDT LEVEL 3, PT SOLVENT REMOVABLE LEVEL 2, PT WATER WASHABLE LEVEL 2. In addition, we have an on-staff American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
Typical customers include OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers that require rigorous inspection, cleanliness, and assembly for high-performance components, especially in automotive, engines, defense, and industrial equipment.
The technical cleanliness lab performs contamination and cleanliness testing to ISO 16232 and VDA 19 standards and operates under ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation for traceable, repeatable results. The lab can test parts up to 2-tons in the cleanroom environment and collect, count and determine particle size from 5µm to 200µm. Our Jomesa Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) can detect sub-micron particles and can determine elemental composition.
Yes, the team offers ASNT Magnetic Particle Testing – MT BENCH LEVEL 2, MT YOKE LEVEL 2, ASNT Liquid Penetrant Testing – PT NDT LEVEL 3, PT SOLVENT REMOVABLE LEVEL 2, PT WATER WASHABLE LEVEL 2, ultrasonic thickness testing, eddy current testing (ECT), leak and pressure testing and visual testing (VT). In addition, we have an on-staff American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
Emergency sorting services are available either at the company’s Detroit-area facility or at customer production plants, using teams experienced in fast-paced OEM and assembly environments.
The company provides in-house mechanical assembly and contract manufacturing, from simple two-piece assemblies to complex rotating engine components, including design and build of custom fixtures, tooling, and jigs.
Yes, the assembly group operates as a Tier 1 supplier of engine assemblies, supplying high-precision components to leading combustion engine OEMs including ready to install complete diesel engine cylinder heads, mechanical governors, vibration dampers and air shut-down assemblies.
The manufacturing team delivers 3- and 5-axis machining and CNC turning services from prototype through full production, with fixturing, assembly, pressure testing, CMM inspection, precision cleaning and technical cleanliness testing integrated into the process.
Yes, the engineering services uses NX CAD design to create custom testing equipment, fixtures, unique tooling, and fabrications to support specialized manufacturing, inspection, and assembly needs.
The precision cleaning group delivers industrial-grade parts washing and precision cleaning for critical components and large assemblies, with processes designed to meet tight cleanliness specifications.
Yes, the team applies mechanical, chemical, and laser de-rusting methods, selecting the best process for parts ranging from a few ounces up to approximately six tons.
Supply chain services include logistics support, repacking, sequencing, and warehousing designed to streamline OEM and Tier 1 material flow and packaging efficiency.
Processes often include formal work instructions (WI), part traceability documentation, and step-by-step visual references for assembly and testing, helping customers meet internal and regulatory quality requirements.
Buyers are generally expected to share part drawings, cleanliness or inspection specifications, volume, timing, packaging requirements, and any other relevant OEM or industry standards so the team can propose a complete service and quality plan.
